Rainy Bench

Empty Bench

The temperatures are falling and the rain is coming. Fall is upon us. The nearby mountains are trying to skip fall altogether as snow now covers their peaks. The valley is confused as many are still trying to get more fresh vegetables out of their gardens. With kids in school the parks are less populated, the rain scatters all but the most brave or immovable in this case the bench. Begging for attention the bench says, “please come and rest your weary legs and enjoy the view.” However on this day, the bench only attracts the rain drops who cling to the frame trying to resist gravity and the final plunge to earth.

The change in weather and seasons helps us to appreciate what we have had and also what we can look forward to. Are you a brave “singing in the rain” type person? What is your favorite season?
